All good wishes for their future success to Amanda and her team at the new cafe in Oliver’s Battery. Thrive Cafe and Wellbeing is open 8.00 am to 4.30 pm Monday to Saturday. The food is delicious and impeccably sourced; The Cafe is already buzzing with customers of all ages. We recommend you to drop in,  say hello and sample what’s on offer. We are certain with our new Cafe open, “Thriving” in Oliver’s Battery is going to be a very popular pastime in the future !

Tesco voting update

Following the end of the two week voting in Tesco stores, the Bags of Help team are currently collecting votes from all stores and finalising results. They will be in touch by the end of November with confirmation of our grant award.

Thanks to everyone who voted for the Vikings and the Saxon Noble King Play Equipment project at the Recreation Ground.

Please vote at Tesco for our “Vikings and the Saxon Noble King” Recreation Ground project.

Our project has been shortlisted for a public vote in Tesco’s Bags of Help initiative between 31 October and 14 November 2016.  Please support the Oliver’s Battery Project by voting in store for the “Vikings and the Saxon Noble King” project at the Oliver’s Battery Recreation Ground.

Voting: a token should be given by Tesco checkout staff with every purchase, irrespective of the value, which can be used to vote for one of three projects.  You are encouraged to vote for the “Vikings and the Saxon Noble King” Oliver’s Battery Project!  NB you can vote each time you visit the store and make a purchase.

Locations: the Tesco Stores that are taking part are Tesco Extra at Easton Lane in Winnall, Tesco Express at 55 Priors Dean Road in Harestock and Tesco Express at Andover Road Esso.

Oliver’s Battery Recreation Ground and Play Area Opportunities

There are volunteering opportunities to help shape the Recreation Ground and keep it a safe, stimulating and friendly to visit.  We are planning to start by improving the play equipment for toddlers.

The revamped Post Office is now open.

Monday the 16th May saw the re-opening of the Post Office and now has longer hours. Post office services will be available during the store’s opening hours from Monday to Friday from 7am to 9pm, Saturday from 8am to 8pm. It means it will also be open on Sunday from 8am to 7pm.
